International Conference on Sustainable Development Goals, Challenges, and Strategies concluded at Arya College

A two-day international conference on Sustainable Development Goals, Challenges, and Strategies concluded today under the joint aegis of Arya College Department of Economics, Commerce Department, Directorate of Higher Education, Panchkula (Haryana), and Society of Pathways to Sustainability. Dr. N.K Bishnoi, Professor at Guru Jambeshwar University, Hisar was the chief guest at the conference. He said that if Haryana achieves rank till 85 then it will come in the category of developed states by 2038. He also talked about the Human Development Index. Thus, the position of Haryana state is very good on many parameters. This will help us in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.

Principal Dr. Jagdish Gupta said that success is important not only in professional but in personal life as well. In today fast-paced life, we are exploiting natural resources only to fulfill our needs, whereas it is necessary to save these resources, otherwise the coming generations will not be able to know about them. Dr. Gupta said that more than 300 research papers were received from India and abroad.

The organizer and joint secretary of the conference, Prof. Pankaj Chaudhary presented the report of the two-day international conference. He said that on the first day, four technical sessions (offline) and five technical sessions (online) were conducted, and on the second day also, four technical sessions (offline) and five technical sessions (online) were conducted. 18 resource persons participated in these sessions. Topics like sustainable development, corporate governance, business, education, social harmony, environmental prosperity, gender equality, etc. were discussed.

Professor Dr. Atveer Singh from Meerut highlighted the theme of his committee and how the committee is helping in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. The vote of thanks was presented by Professor Dr. Surendra Mor, Secretary and he thanked all the guests and the staff members of the college. The stage was conducted by Dr. Manish Nagpal. All the guests were honored with bouquets and mementos. Also, three best paper awards and three best poster presentations were selected. On this occasion, the Vice Principal of the college Dr. Ramniwas, Dr. Madhu Gaba, Prof. Satveer Singh, Professor Meenakshi Chaudhary, Dr. Ramesh Singla, Dr. Rajesh Garg, Aastha Gupta, Priya Gupta, Dr. Rajni Sharma, Dr. Anju Malik, Manik Gupta, Namrata Arora, Vivek Gupta and all the college staff members were present.
